Sahale Peak, North Cascades National Park, WA

The view from the cascade pass trailhead parking lot is awesome

First glimpse of the summit of Sahale Peak

Left to right: El Dorado Peak, Mount Torment, Forbidden Peak

Sahale Arm

Sahale Glacier

There are a lot of peaks in this photo, the largest one in the back is Glacier Peak and you can even see Mount Ranier (and little tacoma) way in the background. The northern terminus of the Ptarmigan Traverse is also visible.

Climbing the Summit block, this is 4th class climbing but I think a couple of the moves were easy 5th and there was a lot of loose rock. We did not use any ropes or climbing gear which is fine if you're a confident climber. I'm not sure I would do it again without ropes.

Boston Peak and the Shark's Fin

Mount Baker (maybe?) way in the background, with El Dorado, Torment, and Forbidden all visible in this photo

Ripsaw Ridge

Downclimbing

Back on Sahale Arm, Mix up Peak, the Triplets and Johanessburg Mountain visible here

Marmot

Back at Cascade Pass, El Dorado visible in the background

The view from the parking lot really is stunning
