Sahale Peak, North Cascades National Park, WA

Diablo Lake

We were unlucky with rain and clouds, so we went up the Hidden Lake Lookout trail in the rain and hoped the weather would improve for Sahale

The following day was wet and foggy, but we decided to hike up to Cascade Pass and attempt Sahale anyway. Our target was Sahale Glacier Camp.

Cascade Pass Trailhead

The trail starts with almost 40 switchbacks through the forest followed by a gradual path to Cascade Pass with stunning views, obscured by clouds and fog here

Unfortunately, the weather was extremely hazy because of forest fires in the area
